Yamai Tempest[]
Westcott makes his first appearance at the JGSDF base, intervening in their decision on Origami's punishment. He tells the officials that he heard that an AST member was able to successfully pilot the <White Licorice>. When he hears that General Kiritani is planning on forbidding Origami from ever using a Realizer again, he uses his connections with the Minister of Defense Saeki to change Origami's punishment to a two-month house arrest.

After the meeting, he then gives Origami a card with DEM's contact information, telling her that they would assist her if she ever needs help fighting the Spirits. Despite the aid he gave, Origami remained cautious, feeling something resembling fear from the man who passed by her a moment ago. After leaving, he tells Ellen that everyone in the meeting were idiots who did not see how grave that matter was, viewing them all as incompetent fools who were weird enough to place the blame on a genius who is 1 in 10,000. Then, he states that if General Kiritani changes his mind, he should probably invite Origami into his own company, as it is regretful to give up someone who could pilot the <White Licorice>. He adds that with the magic surgery performed on Origami, she could become a Wizard comparable to Mana or Artemisia.
Ellen informs him that they received a report about a girl that looks identical to the Spirit <Princess> had transferred into Raizen High School right after the <Princess> disappeared. Intrigued, he asks what was JGDSF’s action towards this matter. After being told that they only used the low-accuracy vehicle type DS-06 to classify her as a normal person, he tells Ellen that a peace-loving idiot is much scarier than anyone with dementia. Deciding to take the matter into his own hands, he asks Ellen if her body is rusty from the lack of fighting with Spirits. As Ellen reaffirms that she will never lose to any opponent, Westcott gives off an ominous smile.
Once the <Arbatel> airship was destroyed above Arubi Island, Westcott contacts Ellen and he asks her how things went. Ellen reports that the <Arbatel> went down. Having confirmed that Tohka is indeed the Spirit <Princess>, Westcott is asked by Ellen if something like a human who holds the power of a Spirit can exist.
Miku Lily[]
At the imperial hotel, Westcott is reviewing Ellen's report on the events that transpired in Arubi Island with Shido, Tohka, and <Fraxinus>. He somehow seems happy that <Ratatoskr> managed to outwit him. After verifying that a team led by Adeptus 3 will be assigned to the JGSDF, he remarks that there are no photos of Shido. After anticipating meeting him soon, Westcott declares he wants to give "those arrogant pacifists" of <Ratatoskr> a big welcome grand enough to punch them in the head and wake them up.

Westcott wants the enter the isolation room where Tohka's being held, but he has to insist since Ellen and his staff don't think it's safe for him to be there. Once there, he introduces himself to Tohka and then asks Ellen if she hates him. After that, Westcott asks Tohka what can they do to make her despair. He mentions several torture methods, both physical and mental, and when he mentions the idea of torturing someone close to her. Tohka reacts, which causes him to give an evil grin before asking Ellen if she knows of anyone who fits that criteria. Ellen informs him that Shido Itsuka should be the one, as Tohka had also reacted differently when she interrogated her. Excited by the idea of killing Shido, Westcott left the room while saying he would be waiting for his arrival.
Some hours later, Westcott asks Ellen, who was fighting outside, to come return to the DEM building. When Shido and Miku arrive at the isolation room, they are greeted by Westcott, who congratulates Miku and asks Shido who he is. Surprise, Westcott starts laughing and saying that all this time, everything was in the palm of her hand. After provoking Shido, he releases Tohka while saying that he's not as strong as Ellen. When Shido asks Miku to brainwash Westcott, he tells Shido that he'll be in danger if he stands there. Shido is then stabbed by Ellen. Then, Westcott tells Tohka that she may use anything to stop Ellen, and if her powers are not enough, she can reach even further. The despair causes Tohka to Inverse, and thus Westcott manically yells that the Kingdom has inverted, and that they should welcome the arrival of the Demon King.
Westcott tells Ellen that this is the first time he's seen such a perfect Inversion, which is their dream. Then, he asks Ellen to defeat Inverse Tohka and begin the path to their goal. During their fight, Tohka points her sword at Westcott, but Ellen protects him. Then, he asks her about her opinion on Tohka. Ellen says that she's very powerful, and she won't be able to beat her with her current wound. Westcott declares that they'll retreat, adding that this Inversion was a great achievement, and he even saw an unexpected face. As he and Ellen are leaving, he bids farewell to Shido by calling him accidentally Takamiya in the process. However, he quickly corrects himself and says that he doesn't know anything about Shido Itsuka.
Natsumi Search[]
At the DEM headquarters in Great Britain, the board members are reviewing Westcott's actions in Japan, which caused the deaths of several Wizards and the partial destruction of the office district, among other things. One of the board members, Roger Murdoch, asks Westcott what he was thinking back then. However, Westcott replies that everything was worth it, since they successfully inversed <Princess>. Murdoch claims that Spirits won't save DEM's future, and asks for a vote to remove Westcott as DEM's Managing Director. Westcott says that this is fine since the board members have that privilege. When chairman Russell counts how many hands were raised, he says that there were none. This is because Ellen cut off their arms, as she considered this mutiny an offense to Isaac. However, Westcott replies that they simply used the authority given to them. He also adds that their arms will be back to normal if they treat them with Medical Realizers, and he'll give the company to all of them once he finishes his "fun and self-gratification", which will happen soon.
Sometime later, Elliot Woodman and Karen Mathers pay a visit to James A. Paddington, the <Arbatel> captain who is being held as a prisoner by <Ratatoskr>. At first, Paddington doesn't move, but then his body gets used as a human speaker by Westcott. Westcott and Woodman talk for a while. Westcott asks him to turn to his side since they are about to achieve their goal using the Spirits. Woodman refuses, saying that he created <Ratatoskr> to stop him and his goal. Westcott considers this a letdown and tells Woodman to expect no mercy the next time they meet.
After this, in the DEM HQ, Westcott tells Ellen that Murdoch was correct, as the loss of Mana Takamiya and Jessica Bailey in their military strength will be a huge problem for targeting Spirits in the future. Ellen, however, doesn't know who could become a good Adeptus candidate, besides Artemisia Bell Ashcroft who is in a coma, but Westcott suggests the young Wizard who inflicted a wound on Ellen's body during the previous battle.
Natsumi Change[]
Westcott and Ellen arrive at Tengu City from Great Britain. On their way to the hotel, Westcott suggests building a residence in Japan, but Ellen is displeased with this, saying that the board members could cause a revolution. Once Westcott states that he doesn't mind, he asks Ellen if she investigated Shido further. She shows him some documents that show that Shido is surrounded by the Spirits <Princess>, <Hermit>, <Efreet>, <Berserk> and <Diva>. Once they decide that <Ratatoskr> must be behind him, they decide to wait until Shido has deepened his bonds with the Spirits, and then use him as a key to inverse all of them. After this, Westcott suggests to Ellen that she should set the Spirit <Witch> as her new priority target. After Ellen's is overwhelmed by the number of Spirits fighting together with Shido, Westcott considers Origami as a new pawn to bolster their forces.
When Ellen finds out that there's an artificial satellite under Murdoch's command falling on Tengu City to assassinate Westcott, she goes to the hotel so that they can evacuate. However, he is far from worried. He even claims that he must praise Murdoch for his attempt, but it's still futile Woodman's organization won't let Shido and the Spirits die. However, he still decides to take some countermeasures upon Ellen's instance. He thinks it's a good chance to test the <Mordred> CR-Unit, so he dispatches Origami to do the job.
Tobiichi Angel[]
In the Tengu hotel, Ellen asks Westcott if it's alright to let Origami act on her own judgment. To this, he says that he doesn't mind, since he wants <Mordred>'s battle data and, if Origami is successful, one or two Sephira Crystals. However, he also remarks that the bribe needed for the JGSDF became larger than usual. When Ellen looks unsatisfied, Westcott tells her that he has a different target for her: she'll use the airship <Goetia> to stop any support from <Ratatoskr>.
After Origami turns into a Spirit and Ellen takes down the <Fraxinus>, Westcott congratulates her on her skills. Then they speak about Origami becoming a Spirit. He jokingly says that he grieves the loss of a magnificent Wizard. Ellen asks him where she is now, but Westcott says that she either disappeared or concealed her readings. One way or another, they are going to target her now.
Itsuka Disaster[]
In the DEM Industry Japan branch, Westcott regrets the loss of the Spirit <Devil>, claiming that he's never seen such a perfect Inverse type Spirit besides <Princess>. While he wonders about what could have made her go inverse, he tells Ellen that the facility from Neryl Island, which is owned by DEM, has finally given results regarding <Material A>, with a success rate of 75%. Westcott claims that it's time they made their own perfect inverse type.
Sometime after that, Westcott calls Ellen to his office, to inform her that the Spirit <Nightmare> attacked the transporter that was carrying <Material A>. However, they solved the problem thanks to the new Adeptus 2. Changing the subject, Westcott informs Ellen about some strange Spirit readings. Ellen recognizes this "Spirit" as Shido Itsuka, and goes out to kill him. However, Westcott reminds her that he would prefer a living sample, as he bemuses the cause of Ellen's overly ecstatic attitude.
Nia Creation[]
After Nia escapes from DEM, the pilots Knox and Burton, who had been tasked with the safe delivery of the project, are in Westcott's office. They are sure that their boss will be displeased with the loss of the second Spirit. However, Westcott appears calm, and he even asks them to treat their injuries with Realizers and take some time off. This confuses both pilots, to which Westcott clarifies that the treatments will be under insurance. However, Knox explains that they expected a punishment for letting <Material A> escape. Westcott then tells them that they are both great staff, who remained calm when Kurumi attacked, and he also planned to release <Material A>. When Burton asks him what he is planning, Westcott's smile quickly turns into a death stare. Knox then asks to be dismissed before he and Burton hurry out of the room as Westcott wishes them a good day.
Some days later, Ellen, Artemisia and Westcott are driving through Tengu City, and he once again says that Knox and Burton did an excellent job. Had they released Nia themselves, there would have been traces. Ellen does not agree with his decision to let Nia go. Westcott reminds her that they were stuck for years trying to inverse Nia. But he also reveals that they didn't just let her go. They embedded a Realizer inside Nia's brain to make her forget what happened during the last 5 years. However, when Westcott gives the signal, the Realizer will activate, forcing Nia to remember everything and trigger her inversion. Then, he reminds Ellen of their dearest wish and tells Artemisia that he's counting on her as well.

Later, when Shido is trying to save Nia, Westcott appears and greets Shido. Then he congratulates Artemisia on her work and takes Nia's Qlipha Crystal. Upon doing this, he summons the Demon King <Beelzebub>, and he is surprised by instantly gaining full knowledge of its abilities. Though he is happy, Ellen reminds him that it's still not enough to achieve their goals. However, he adds that this is enough for today, and tells Shido and the Spirits to enjoy the rest of their peaceful days while they can, before disappearing into the sky with Ellen and Artemisia.
Back in his office, he studies <Beelzebub>, and informs Ellen that he has found something very interesting. When he touched her shoulder, Ellen learned that Shido and Kurumi had rewritten history, and Ellen had been wounded in the past by Origami. After this, he explains that the Demon King is still incomplete because Shido managed to reach out to Nia just before her Qlipha was removed. Despite this, he is satisfied, and adds that he has great expectations for both Ellen and Artemisia.
Mukuro Planet[]
A few days later, Westcott calls both Ellen and Artemisia to his office to inform them that <Beelzebub> has been receiving interference from an outside source, which he theorizes came from <Sister>'s survival. Despite this heavily restricting the Demon King's omniscience function, he still managed to decipher the information he needed just in time. Thanks to this, he has found the location of a new Spirit. When Ellen questions where the Spirit is, he responds by raising his index finger and pointing to the sky.
Despite sending an entire armada against the new Spirit <Zodiac>, the fleet is easily destroyed and <Zodiac> retaliates by transporting the debris simultaneously to DEM's international facilities. Seeing this display of power, Westcott notes that he never expected the vanguard troops to defeat her, but praises this power for its excellence. The tracking satellite remaining then notes that the <Zodiac> has remained at its previous coordinates. Reading Ellen's intentions, Westcott nods his head and decides to leave the capture to Ellen and Artemisia. After Ellen leaves, a nearby Wizard questions if it is really okay to let Ellen go to outer space. Asking if his subordinate is questioning his orders, the Wizard quickly retracts her statement, saying that she is wondering if Ellen can still fight after finding out about that thing. As the Wizard mutters in a feeble voice, Westcott shrugs his shoulders and notes that this is how it should be. As he uncovers his right hand, a black levitating tome materializes with the instructions on how to capture the new Spirit. He remarks that he expects a lot from Ellen, but for a long time, she wouldn’t want to avoid getting bathed in blood from head to toe. As he finishes, Westcott lets out an indifferent laugh.
Much later, Westcott and his forces launch an all-out assault on the secret Ratatoskr facility, having previously discovered its location from <Beelzebub>. Perchance, he runs into Shido and his group just as they are racing toward the new Fraxinus. Seeing him present, Origami and Tohka immediately assume their limited Astral Dresses. Tohka's attack blows away the Wizard that is accompanying him, while Origami prepares to fire her laser from her <Metatron>. However, Westcott easily blocks the attack by summoning a book page to shield himself, with him noting that such a pathetic attack won't be able to harm him in his current state. As Westcott grins in a bewitching manner, he notes that this would be a perfect opportunity to test <Beelzebub>'s abilities. As he activates <Ashufiriya>, enormous books start emerging underneath Shido and his group, eventually swallowing them in. As the Wizard asks where they have gone, he remarks that they are within a fairy tale, trapped in a fantasy. However, rather than focus on Shido, their current target takes precedence at the moment. He smiles and states that he is looking forward to meeting his old friend, Elliot, in person.
Mukuro Family[]
Westcott intercepts Woodman and Karen just as the two are about to enter their emergency escape helicopter. When questioned about his timely arrival by his old colleague, he admits that he had to use his own intuition since the Demon King <Beelzebub>'s information network was still scrambled by <Sister>. After exchanging pleasantries with his old friend, Westcott is asked if he had come to kill them. In response, he retorts that would defeat the entire purpose of not bringing Ellen along. If possible, he wishes to bring both Woodman and Karen back to DEM. Upon hearing Woodman's refusal, he responds by summoning <Beelzebub> and asks his old rival to at least entertain him.
The result of the battle is not shown. However, Westcott had lost one of his arms in the conflict. As Ellen races back to DEM headquarters after her defeat by the new Fraxinus EX, she demands to see Westcott over not being told about the raid on Ratatoskr's headquarters. However, much to Ellen's frustration, she finds Westcott in the middle of a Realizer treatment to recover from his wounds. Despite this, he happily waves his severed limb in front of both Ellen and Artemisia. He admits that he was magnificently defeated by them. Still, the front half of his severed arm is successfully recovered, so he should still make a full recovery by tomorrow. After hearing the medical staff's concern over continuing his treatment, Westcott tells them that he will have to postpone their chat until tomorrow and they should go heal their own wounds in the meantime.
Kurumi Refrain[]
Westcott introduces the Nibelcole
After detecting a foreign presence in Westcott’s room, Ellen and Artemisia rush in only to find Westcott casually greeting them. From there, Westcott declares that with ten Spirits having gathered around Shido, the time is ripe for their plan to commence. They would use Shido as their key to inverting all the Spirits at once. Raising his right hand, Westcott summons his Demon King <Beelzebub>. Despite the interference from Nia, the Demon King’s omniscience is still more than enough to coordinate their attacks while exploiting the slightest openings in <Ratatoskr>’s scrutiny. As the two Wizards prepare to embark on their mission, Westcott adds that he has taken the extra time to bolster the numbers of their forces. Due to their enemy outnumbering them, the slightest delay could lead to them losing their target. With that in mind, Westcott introduces the newest creation from within <Beelzebub>’s pages: the <Nibelcole>.
As Ellen is voicing her displeasure at the <Nibelcole> failing their mission, Westcott enters the room to ask for an update on their mission. Seeing that progress wasn’t going smoothly, Westcott asks if their manpower is insufficient. When told by the <Nibelcole> that their failure was due to Kurumi Tokisaki’s interference, Westcott bemuses that it is strange that the worst Spirit would go so far as to protect a human. Still, he admits that Kurumi’s clones would be the perfect counter to the <Nibelcole>’s sheer numbers. Deep in thought, Westcott considers the possibility that Kurumi is already aware of their attack beforehand since she is able to hide from <Beelzebub>’s investigation. After being asked if their plans had been leaked, Westcott hypothesizes it might be the attack itself rather than knowledge of their plan to attack.
Kurumi Ragnarok[]
Due to Shido's discovery of Kurumi's time-travel antics to continually save his life, the information also subsequently becomes known to Westcott via <Beelzebub>. Westcott enters the meeting room just as Ellen is annoyed to the extent of using her Realizer against one of the <Nibelcole>. After defusing that situation, Ellen removes her territory and the targeted <Nibelcole> soon quickly hides behind Westcott. Afterward, Westcott explains the method of how Kurumi has been subverting their planned attacks to his subordinates. The DEM director notes that the number of time resets must surely be mentally exhausting for Kurumi. However, rather than waiting for Kurumi to give up, Westcott plans to use their full strength in a way that would be impossible to prevent no matter how many times Kurumi travels back in time.
At that moment, a group of <Nibelcole> arrive with the freshly decapitated head of a Kurumi Tokisaki clone. However, after being informed that a group of clones managed to escape, Westcott tells them that it is inconsequential. Their battle should be one where both sides would mutually know each other’s plans. Westcott then playfully delivers a speech that he knows Kurumi would be eavesdropping from the shadows. While daring the worst Spirit to do her best, he promises to kill Shido Itsuka no matter how many times she tries to go back, reset the world, or revise history. Even though the clones could not be seen, Ellen could feel the clones shaking in anger from within the walls.
On the day of the decisive battle, Westcott remains on their flagship <Lemegeton> as he notes that <Ratatoskr> has responded to their threat with a fleet of five ships. He tells Ellen that <Ratatoskr>’s strategy would likely be to target them, as the company would naturally fall apart without their leadership. Despite Ellen’s concerns, Westcott assures her that this is necessary to prevent <Ratatoskr> from fleeing. Also, since this is a battle fought to revolutionize the world, he couldn’t send her off to the battlefield alone. Westcott then orders his fleet, under the command of Captain Ernest Brennan, to begin the battle.
As their fleet comes under assault from Kurumi’s clones and <Ratatoskr>’s attacks from below, Westcott laughs as he is amused by the situation. He assures his soldiers that this isn’t enough considering their size and resources and they should use their strength to land a decisive blow. After ordering Brennan to deploy a second wave and also send a request for the local AST, he gives his last commands as the <Nibelcole>, Artemisia, and Ellen depart for the battlefield.
Mio Game Over[]
As the DEM flagship <Lemegeton> is chaotically communicating and distributing orders for the war situation, Westcott asks for a status report from Brennan. His subordinate reassures him that while their opponent is doing better than anticipated, the disparity between them hasn't changed. Before he can reply back to this, Westcott is overcome by a strange sense of déjà vu. He realizes that this dense pulsation of mana is exactly what he felt when the Spirit was born into the world. The ship then sounds a huge alarm from detecting a massive reiha response. On the main monitor of the bridge, a girl wearing an Astral Dress and a gigantic flower-like object floating above her is being displayed. As everyone else is left in awe at the sight, Westcott lets out a maniacal laugh. As the pollen from the flower is dispersed throughout the battlefield, everything it comes into contact with either lost its function or immediately died. Subsequently, the engine of their ship stops as soon as the ship makes contact with the pollen. Despite the ship now plummeting from the sky, Westcott continues to laugh as he greets <Deus>, the Spirit who has now entered the battlefield.
Surviving the crash thanks to <Beelzebub>, Westcott intersects Shido as the boy is trying to re-enter the battlefield with <Raphael>. With the <Nibelcole> surrounding both of them, he tells Shido that the time has come to decide who is more qualified to use the power of the Spirits. Westcott explains that while the presence of <Deus> is a delightful surprise, he has no means of capturing her at the moment. As a result, he has specifically chosen to target Shido first to acquire his Reiryoku before going to meet <Deus>. Westcott counters Shido's usage of multiple Angels by giving commands to the <Nibelcole> like a conductor composing a symphony.
After seeing that Shido is able to flirt with the <Nibelcole> to seal them away, Westcott seals their vision away with pages from <Beelzebub>. To sharpen the quality of their attacks, Westcott is able to serve as their collective eyes by coordinating and transmitting information to compensate for their lack of sight. Shido attempts to use <Haniel> to disguise himself as a <Nibelcole> and then ambush him with <Michael>. However, thanks to Westcott using <Beelzebub> in time, he is able to dodge the sneak attack. Westcott reveals to Shido that he has already used <Beelzebub> beforehand to figure out the abilities of every Spirit's Angels.
Due to <Michael> disappearing momentarily due to Mukuro being taken down by Mio, Shido is left momentarily vulnerable, which leads to the <Nibelcole> being able to pin him down. While slightly disappointed that it has ended so quickly, Westcott summarizes that he must hurry before going after <Deus>. It is then that Shido angrily demands to know Westcott's motives. Westcott explains his backstory and how his village was destroyed and how he and his childhood friends seek to create a new world. However, rather than just revenge, he also adds that he is slightly different from the others. Like an ordinary person, everything he has done is for the sake of his own curiosity and goals. Shido then realizes the reason behind the strange impression that Westcott emits. Rather than being insane, his desires took those human qualities to the very extreme. What made him incompatible with ordinary people is simply his differing ethics and viewpoint of life and death.
Shido vs. Westcott
Before he could deliver the finishing blow, Shido is saved by Miku and Natsumi's timely arrival. Amused by <Diva> and <Witch>'s entry, Westcott adds that he could now add two complete Sephira Crystals along with Shido's Reiryoku. Shido then asks the two Spirits to use <Gabriel> to bolster his strength to the very limit. With that, he is able to summon <Sandalphon>'s final sword to eliminate a vast majority of the surrounding <Nibelcole> all at once. However, due to analyzing this move beforehand, Westcott is able to escape outside the range of the attack with the help of a supporting <Nibelcole>. However, Shido taunts the DEM director, asking if he has also researched this personal move. As Westcott is left in a daze over what is coming next, Shido uses his Roaring Flash Blast Wave technique to decide the battle.
As Westcott lies down collapsed, Shido takes the opportunity to seal <Beelzebub> with <Michael>. Westcott mocks Shido's decision to spare his life, noting that there won't be a second chance next time. He says that Shido is similar to Woodman and bemuses that he is quite interested in the feeling of death. But before he could finish speaking, Westcott suddenly falls dead silent. The next moment, Mio kills the DEM director by taking back Nia's stolen Sephira Crystal from him.
Mio True End[]
As a consequence of Shido resetting the world with <Zafkiel>'s Sixth Bullet, Westcott becomes aware of what has occurred in the previous timeline thanks to <Beelzebub>. Like an excited child, Westcott giddy laughs at the fortune in being able to obtain <Beelzebub> as his first Demon King. He then tells Ellen to prepare the magic-powered furnace and accumulation charm. As Ellen asks in confusion over what is happening, Westcott replies that it isn't what is happening now, but rather what will be happening next. Adding on to that, he tells Ellen that now is the time to change the future.
While Shido is on his date with Reine, Westcott unleashes DEM's full forces a day before the specified final battle and leaves the battle completely in Brennan's hands. Additionally, he specifically sends the <Bandersnatch> to target the Spirits' civilian friends at the same time. Through communications, he tells <Ratatoskr> to consider their friends his hostages in exchange for all the Sephira Crystals in their possession. If they refuse to do so, he cannot guarantee their safety otherwise, and then orders his <Bandersnatch> to kill a few students just to prove he's serious. Thanks to Mukuro's wormholes, the Spirits disperse throughout the city in order to save their friends. Taking advantage of this, DEM uses <Goetia> to collide with <Fraxinus>, merging the enemy ship's Voluntary Territory into their own. Westcott then leads a personal vanguard composed of himself, Ellen, Artemisia, and the <Nibelcole> to invade <Fraxinus>'s bridge. The DEM team is confronted by Shido, Kotori, and Mana, who attempt to stop their advance.
Despite their best efforts, Shido and the others are overwhelmed by DEM's superior force. But suddenly, Westcott is ambushed from the shadows by Kurumi Tokisaki, who pierces his chest to steal back Nia's Sephira Crystal. This subsequently causes all of the surrounding <Nibelcole> to fade away as well now that their power source has been taken away. Kurumi's clones launch a hailstorm of bullets at Westcott's location. However, the DEM director is saved by Ellen, who pulls him back to their ship to retreat. Ellen leaves the battlefield while carrying Westcott in her Voluntary Territory, applying hemostasis, pain relief, and accelerated healing to stabilize his fatal wounds. Westcott asks for a status update on the current situation. Ellen tells him that Shido has obtained Kurumi's powers and has now left for <Deus>'s location. After discovering that <Goetia> was still intact, Westcott gives a faint smile as if everything is going according to plan.
Due to Shido keeping Mio at a stationary location for an extended period of time, Westcott is able to re-create the Spirit Formula ritual, using Mio as a substitute for the Spiritual Vein used 30 years ago. However, thanks to advancements in technology since then, Westcott is able to channel the ritual onto himself. As he emerges from a dense Reiryoku radiating a brilliant light, Westcott tells everyone present that they all have the privilege to witness the birth of the Second Spirit of Origin. Despite the Spirits launching continuous attacks, each one of them helplessly dissipates against the light he is radiating. Westcott informs them that it's pointless since his power comes from the same source as <Deus> rather than only having a fragment of that power like them. Seeing their struggle as futile, he grants Ellen and Artemisia a power boost to handle the Spirits, which makes them strong enough to effortlessly knock down Origami and Mana.
The Spirits are saved by Shido and Mio's timely arrival on the battlefield. Westcott thanks Shido for distracting <Deus> while he was preparing the formula, noting that it was worth giving him a valuable Sephira Crystal in exchange. Shido angrily notes that this means that everything has been going according to Westcott's plan. Still, Westcott says that they have arrived just a bit too late. The light surrounding his body transformed into a jet-black darkness, summoning <Belial>. The darkened Demon King tree's roots and branches extend to both the earth and sky. Westcott prepares to rewrite the world with his Demon King; however, Mio retaliates by summoning <Ain Soph>. The Angel tangles its roots and branches against <Belial> to form a birdcage which momentarily halts this progress. Thanks to Mio granting the Spirits access to their full powers, the damage from their multiple Angels begins to accumulate on the wall of Reiryoku that Westcott summoned to defend himself. Seeing that this is their plan, Westcott summons his second Demon King <Athiel>, a flower that releases countless particles of darkness toward the Spirits. However, the girls are safeguarded by multiple copies of MARIA, who had Nia use <Rasiel> to grant herself physical form.
For a brief moment, Shido sees that the path to Westcott is visible. The boy then marches forward while channeling the power of all ten Angels into his arm. Westcott is left in awe as Shido smashes his fist at him. Left bloody and heavily injured at the center of the birdcage. Realizing that his injuries would result in him dying, Westcott laughs as he remarks that they were just one step short. He calls upon his last Demon King <Qemetiel> as a torrent of mana surrounds his body like a storm, gradually forming into the shape of a seed. With his injuries, there is doubt that he would even be able to control this Demon King. However, it is still manifesting, and it becomes clear that he plans to erase himself alongside the world. Realizing what needs to be done, Mio uses <Ain Soph> to throw everyone else to safety while she confronts Westcott with her own Angel <Ain>. Westcott remarks that while <Deus> is a remarkable substitute, he still wants to erase Shido Itsuka completely. He then asks the Spirit of Origin where he went wrong despite all his accomplishments. Mio remarks that their power is something that should have never been brought into this world. She also adds that he is the type of person she would never choose if that was another source of his misery. Westcott looks momentarily surprised by this answer before he lets out an uncontrollable laugh. Seeing no other alternative, Westcott raises his hand as his Demon King clashes against Mio's Angel.
The results of the clash leave Westcott dying as he can barely maintain his form through Reiryoku. As his consciousness is dimming, he finds Ellen approaching him as she desperately tries to find a way to keep him alive. As Woodman and Karen also arrive, Ellen begs them to save him, even offering to do anything in exchange. Westcott wearily asks his old rival if he's come to mock him one last time. However, Woodman quietly states that he is here to see his friend before he dies. Westcott lets out a laugh and replies that, although their methods differ, they are surely friends by being both rejected by the same woman. As his vision blurs, he remembers his past and how their village was once destroyed. He is also reminded of the same strange feeling he felt at his mother's funeral. Seeing the despair that his coming death is causing for his childhood friends, Westcott dies content from being the source of that despair.
