Miku Lily[]

Miku behind Origami

Miku surprising Origami

Causing a Spacequake to get rid of a large crowd of people in her way, Miku is first seen singing alone in the empty Tengu arena. According to Kotori, the Spirit then known as <Diva> was confirmed to appear around half a year ago, but other than that there is no other information available in their database. Due to the rest of the stadium being shrouded in darkness, Miku fails to recognize Shido's gender and encourages him to stay as an audience for her singing. But as he gets close enough, she is startled by the presence of a man and attacks him by launching a sonic scream towards him. Miku then proceeds to berate Shido by letting him know how much she hates him and expresses her annoyance at him surviving the assault. Additionally, with the appearance of the AST, Shido has no choice but to retreat for the time being. Before he lost consciousness, Shido caught a glimpse of Miku interacting with AST members like Origami with a completely different flirtatious attitude.

Miku challenged by Shiori

Shiori angry at Miku's methods

The next day, Miku makes an appearance at school as the head of the Tenou festival committee for the Rindouji Private Academy. Upon hearing the rumor of Miku's concerts being composed of female audiences only, Kotori came up with the idea of making Shido cross-dress to approach her. The plan is a success, as Miku immediately takes a liking to "Shiori". During their second meeting at her house, Miku realizes that her powers do not affect Shido when she tells him to transfer to Rindouji. Unbeknownst to Shido and the rest of the crew of <Fraxinus>, Miku already knows about the existence of other Spirits and asks if "Shiori" is one. This gives Shido no choice but to explain his ability to seal the power of a Spirit and express his intention of doing that to save her. Unexpectedly, Miku declines his offer as she is currently satisfied with her lifestyle. When Miku explains her reasons for causing the Spacequake a few days ago, Shido becomes enraged with her petty reasons and apparent lack of empathy. As she listens to Shido's replies, she decides to make a bet with him: She will allow herself to be sealed if Raizen wins the Tenou festival, but if Rindouji wins, she will own "Shiori" and the other five Spirits. Despite the obvious disadvantage, Shido has no choice but to accept her condition.

Miku using Gabriel

Miku using her Angel

During the day of the concert, Miku uses her powers to brainwash the Ai, Mai, and Mii trio into abandoning Shido's performance. Luckily, Yuzuru and Kaguya are able to serve as last-minute replacements. During her performance, Kotori attempts to sabotage it by turning off the light system. However, Miku improvises by summoning her Astral Dress, using its light to illuminate her performance. Despite winning the best musical performance, Miku still lost to Shido's school because of the visitors they attracted through their maid cafe. Unable to accept a defeat because of teamwork, Miku summons her Angel <Gabriel> and uses its powers to control everyone who hears her performance. During the ensuing conflict, Miku finds out that "Shiori" is actually male. Angered and humiliated at being deceived, Miku controls both the Yamai sisters and Yoshino to attack Shido. However, Shido is saved by Tohka, who did not hear Miku's performance due to wearing earphones at the time. Unfortunately, Ellen arrives and successfully manages to capture Tohka. During the ensuing chaos, Shido is able to slip away from Miku's grasp.

Miku Truth[]

Afterward, Miku holds another private concert with only a female audience. Using the music broadcast to further control the audience, she sends them on a manhunt after Shido. As she finishes, she is greeted by the new Spirits she has acquired, and she has them wear maid costumes. Yoshino arrives and gives her a towel, and Kaguya and Yuzuru compete to see whose drink Miku likes better. As Miku is being waited on by Yoshino, Kaguya, and Yuzuru, she remarks that she feels like she is in paradise. However, her mood suddenly sours when she thinks about Shido again. Still angry about being deceived, she asks Yoshino if they have found him yet. Yoshino nervously replies that they are still searching for him. At that moment, the Ai, Mai, and Mii trio arrive and tell her that they have found Shido. She asks them who was the one who found him, preferring to spoil the person if it is a girl. Much to her surprise, she learns that Shido has come to her instead.

Communicating through the speakers, she informs Shido that he is very daring to come back to her palace. Miku tells Shido that he should know that he can't escape, and signals her followers to restrain him. At that moment, Kurumi activates her <City of Devouring Time> to incapacitate the crowd. Surprised by this action, Miku wonders if the girl following Shido is also a Spirit and how she had resisted the power of her Angel. Not wanting her powers to be sealed by Shido, Miku tells the Yamai sisters and Yoshino to follow her back to the stage, as they are going to resume the performance. She then tells Shido to shut up, as the latter is trying to talk to her. Using her <March>, she is able to empower her followers with enough strength to resist Kurumi's <City of Devouring Time>. In response, Kurumi summons a large amount of her clones to provide a distraction, and then uses <Aleph> to accelerate Shido towards Miku. As Miku prepares to launch another sonic wave attack, Kurumi quickly drags both Miku and Shido into her shadow so that they can have a one-on-one conversation.

Miku & Shido's conversation

Miku and Shido's conversation

Within Kurumi's shadow, Miku remarks that he is the worst. Shido apologizes to Miku for deceiving her, but Miku still refuses to listen. However, Shido continues by telling Miku that he is going to DEM in order to rescue Tohka. After hearing this, Miku mocks Shido for wanting to save Tohka out of his own selfish desires. However, Shido merely responds that he feels Tohka's life is more important than his own. Seeing that Shido's reaction is not what she is expecting, Miku's face falls down even further. Miku is reminded by Shido that he had won their contest, which means that he gets to seal her powers. However, Miku screams that she will never allow Shido to seal her powers. In turn, Shido tries to change the promise so that Miku can come with him to help save Tohka. However, Miku still refuses, saying that all humans are selfish creatures that always have ulterior motives. Hearing her rant, Shido questions why Miku hates humans so much. However, before he can continue, Kurumi's voice tells him that they are out of time, and has to release both Miku and Shido from her shadow.

After Shido and Kurumi make their escape, Miku uses her powers to clear a space for her at a high-class hotel, following with a suggestion that some food would lighten her mood. Still frustrated over Shido’s actions, she asks Shido’s classmates if Tohka is really that important to Shido. Ai, Mai, and Mii bluff and tell Miku that Shido is a frivolous person. However, Miku responds that even though she is happy that they are considering her feelings, she has asked them to speak honestly. As a result, they tell her that they are not really sure, but Tohka and Shido seem to be close. Miku then asks them if Shido would risk her life to save Tohka. Yoshino and the Yamai Sisters step up and tell her that Shido would be willing to die if it meant saving Tohka. After hearing this, Miku restlessly clenched her fists as she roughly stood up from her chair. Giving out a sigh, she tells the other girls that she going to take a shower since she is tired, but they should inform her if they find Shido again.

Much later, Miku comes to Shido’s rescue after he had been restrained by some DEM Wizards. Using her <Gabriel> to summon a silver long round tube, she used her <Solo> to cause every Wizard in their vicinity to disengage their weapons and line up neatly by the wall. Afterwards, she tells Shido not to call her by her name since it causes an irremovable stain on her beautiful name. She then tells Yoshino and the Yamai Sisters to stay outside and defeat the Wizards there. When Shido asks if she had came to fulfill her end of the agreement, she responds by saying that she had only arrived here to add another Spirit to her collection. As Miku is thanked by Shido for her assistance, she tells him that she has no reason to accept his gratitude. Her decision was out of her own whim, and he shouldn’t let her see him if he wants to follow her.

As they continue their way toward Tohka, Miku tells Shido that it is a waste of time to walk around mindlessly in a big building. Using her powers, she brainwashes a nearby female Wizard and obtains the access card needed to get to Tohka’s location. Along the way, she reminds Shido that they are still enemies, so he should not think that she is helping him. Soon afterward, they are attacked by another group of DEM wizards. Miku easily incapacitates them with a sonic wave attack. At that moment, two Wizards try to attack her from behind. However, Shido is able to intercept that attack with his <Sandalphon>. In response, Miku asks Shido how he gets that far when he looks like he is going to collapse. Shido states that he does not have time to be tired, since he must recuse Tohka. Angered at hearing this, Miku once again mocks Shido’s motives for saving Tohka. As Miku continues to walk in the corridor, she states that she will not be disappointed at him, because she already knows how disgusting people can be.

Suddenly, Miku informs Shido that she can easily use her power to give him another girl to replace Tohka. However, Shido rebukes this by saying that no one can replace Tohka. With a slight twitch in her shoulders, Miku increases her voice as if she has lost her temper. Shido responds by trying to tell Miku that not all humans are bad and that he knows that Miku was once human herself. As Miku gasps in shock, Shido reveals that he and Kurumi found a penname CD in her house, concluding that she must be another human turned into a Spirit by <Phantom>. Finally relenting, Miku reveals her past to Shido. She once lost the voice that was more precious than her life because all of her male fans turned on her after hearing false rumors made by a corrupt producer.

Sympathizing with Miku’s blight, Shido understands where Miku is coming from. He notes that Miku is afraid of trusting other people again after being betrayed once. However, even with her voice that can control anyone, Shido suggests that she is still secretly searching for someone she can relate to. That is why she developed a fixation on Itsuka Shiori and used her real name this time as an idol. Miku and Shido continue their conversation despite opposing Wizards arriving to attack them. Before finally arriving at the containment room where Tohka is located, Shido promises Miku that he will come to save her if she is ever in danger like Tohka is currently.

After entering the room, Miku and Shido are greeted by Westcott, who starts laughing loudly after seeing Shido. Miku responds that such creepy behavior is another reason why he hates males. As Miku prepares to use her voice to control Westcott, the man informs Shido that it is dangerous to stand there. Suddenly, Shido is stabbed from behind by Ellen. As Ellen prepares the final blow, Miku attempts to use her voice to stop her. However, Ellen informs Miku that it would be useless since she would not be affected by a charm of that level. After Tohka is inversed, she asks Miku where she is currently. Miku responds that she was in DEM’s building after being captured by them. As Tohka launches an attack with her <Nahemah>, Miku uses her powers to create a barrier to protect herself and Shido. She tells Shido that it is only a coincidence since he is near her. Commenting on Tohka’s overwhelming power, she questions if Tohka even needs to be saved in the first place.

Shido saving Miku

Shido saves Miku from Inverse Tohka

After Westcott and Ellen leave, Tohka sets her eyes on Miku and Shido. As Tohka prepares another attack on Shido, Miku intercepts it with another barrier. She reminds Shido that he had told her that he would rescue Tohka even if it cost him his own life. As a result, he should not disappoint her by not carrying out that responsibility. Summoning her <Gabriel>, Miku dispatches a sound attack that restricts Tohka’s movements. However, at that moment, Miku runs out of Reiryoku and is about to be killed by a retaliation attack from Tohka. Luckily, Shido intercepts the attack by suddenly using Yoshino’s ice powers to form a defensive shield. He tells Miku that he has fulfilled his promise to her, leaving her shocked at Shido’s actions. Miku is terrified when it seems that Tohka has eliminated Shido with a single swing of her <Paverschlev>. Luckily, Shido is saved by the timely intervention of the Yamai Sisters. Like everyone else present, she witnesses Shido managing to bring Tohka back to her senses.

The next day, she leaves a note telling Shido to come see her backstage. She surprises Shido by suddenly kissing him, sealing her powers in the process. She teases Shido for making her clothes suddenly disappear, before revealing that she had already known about the sealing process from Yoshino and the others. She tells him that it doesn’t matter if she loses her magical voice, since she knows that Shido will always be her fan. Changing into a maid costume, she starts singing the song that she intended to sing to her fans before suffering from aphonia. Despite people feeling that her voice is different, they still enjoy her performance. At the end of her song, she tearfully thanked everyone and “Darling”, confusing everyone on what she had meant.

Miku clinging to Shido's arm.

After being sealed, Shido notes that Miku’s personality has changed drastically, becoming much more childish in the process. During an interview with Kotori, Miku continues to cling to Shido’s arm. She asks if Shido wants to go to an Italian restaurant for dinner. When Shido states that he has to cook dinner for Tohka and the others, Miku remarks that they can invite them as well, since she is not a narrow-minded woman. As Kotori loses her temper, she reminds Miku that she said that she would only answer questions if Shido was next to her. As Miku starts to laugh, Kotori begins her questions. She starts by asking her about the existence that made her a Spirit. Suddenly, Miku makes a painful expression when thinking about her past. Shido offers her to rest a bit, but Miku states that she has decided to move forward now that she now has Darling. Miku remembers when she lost her voice because of a psychogenesis-type aphonia after being betrayed by her fans. At that moment, an entity she calls God approached her and offered her a power that could change the world.

The entity brought out a shining violet gem-like object. As Miku accepted the offer, the gem melted into her body. The next moment, she obtained a devilish voice that could make anyone do what she said. As Kotori asks about the entity’s appearance, Miku states that she couldn't describe it, since the person was covered in a layer of mosaics. Lastly, Kotori asks Miku if she has had any destructive impulses after gaining her powers, to which she states that she doesn’t know what Kotori is talking about.

Exhausted, Miku tells Shido that they would have to cancel the plans for the Italian restaurant. As Shido asks if she is alright, Miku draws closer to hug Shido. Shido worries that it could cause a scandal since Miku is an idol. However, she reassures Shido that it is okay. In fact, she would even give a pose if the paparazzi came. She reminds Shido that it would be fine because even if no one hears her songs, Darling will always be her fan. At that moment, she moves in for a goodbye kiss. However, she is stopped by Tohka and the others, who angrily ask Miku what she is doing. Seeing the other girls, she apologizes to Yoshino, Kaguya, and Yuzuru, for using her Angel to control them. She then tells them that she is about to kiss Shido, and invites the other girls to join in on that kiss. Her flirtatious actions cause the other Spirits to run away scared, and with Miku running after them.

Later, Miku is among the list of suspects that Natsumi leaves for Shido. On the 3rd day, Miku is the first to have her investigation. As Miku arrives, she wears a frilly costume with white and purple as its basic tone. When Shido asks what she is wearing, she replies that it is the appearance of Tsukishima Kanon-chan, the 4th war maiden of Valkyrie Misty. The amusement park that they were at was having a cosplay event. As Shido says that he didn’t know that Miku liked to cosplay, Miku responds that it would be convenient for Shido, since the costumes come with masks. Even though she doesn’t mind being exposed, she doesn’t want to be disturbed on their date. She then hands Shido the costume for Jack-sama, the mysterious hero who saves Misty and the heroines. As Shido says he is fine, Miku responds that she also brought along the costume for Narusaki Mei-chan, the 2nd battle maiden. After hearing this, Shido quickly agrees to wear the Jack cosplay. As Shido changes into the costume, Miku then tells Shido that Jack is the secret identity of the 6th war maiden, Kanou Emily-chan.

DAL v8 08

Miku in a cosplay pose with Shido

Shido tries testing Miku by asking her how they first met at Tengu stadium. Shido deliberately lies by saying that she was surprised when Miku hugged him that time, an action that mirrors his first interaction with Natsumi. However, Miku correctly replies that it didn’t happen, since she still hated males at that time. As Shido prepares another question, they are approached by another group who request a photo. Agreeing with the picture, Miku tells Shido to do a figure skating pose where he carries her. However, the pose causes too much stress on Shido’s arm, causing Miku to fall down with her mask fallen off. With her identity revealed, a crowd of Miku’s fans starts to gather. Miku tells Shido that the fall strained her leg, forcing Shido to have to carry her while running away from Miku’s fans.

On the last day, Miku is among the last suspects left, along with Kaguya, Origami, and Kotori. After being updated with the situation, Miku realizes why Shido had asked those strange questions to her during their date. As Origami and Kaguya disappear because of false guesses, Miku screams that she can’t take it anymore. She decides to give her hair ornament to Shido as a memento in case she disappears. This causes Shido to realize that an object would disappear with its owner, giving Shido the final clue he needed to deduce that Natsumi had disguised herself as Yoshinon, Yoshino’s puppet. After everyone is released from <Haniel>, they also see Natsumi’s true form. Angered, Natsumi uses her Angel to turn most of the people in the room into children before flying away.

Natsumi Change[]

Miku is among the group turned into children by Natsumi. As Shido struggles to keep everything under control, Miku’s voice can be heard trying to get Shido’s attention. As Reine arrives, she assures Miku that Shido can hear her clearly, and it wasn’t like he was deliberately ignoring her. Later, Miku spends the night at the Itsuka residence. The next morning, Shido finds out that the other girls had woken up much earlier than him. Miku tells him that being early to bed and early to rise is the best way to keep your skin healthy. During breakfast, Miku helps carry the plates to the table. As they eat, Miku asks Shido to feed her. After doing so, Miku states that the food tastes even better when "Darling" gives it to her. However, Miku’s actions cause jealous stares from Yoshino and Kotori, forcing Shido to feed them as well.

Later, Natsumi uses her powers to transform the Itsuka residence into a zoo, with Miku being dressed like a cow. When Natsumi is cornered by Ellen, Miku and the others revert back to normal due to the injuries Natsumi suffered from Ellen. They arrive just in time to save Natsumi from Ellen’s clutches. Using Miku’s song, they are able to control Ellen’s comrades, providing a distraction that allows them to retrieve Natsumi.

After everyone plans to help boost Natsumi’s confidence, they first decide to give her a makeover in order to make her less self-conscious about her appearance. Miku declares the limited-day opening of the Salon Do Miku and assists by giving Natsumi a body salon massage. She tells Natsumi that girls can transform without an Angel. While they are natural beauties, most girls have to work hard for their good looks. After finishing, Natsumi is amazed by how smooth her skin has become. As they are preparing the finishing touches, Miku’s voice can be heard helping out with the new selection of Natsumi’s clothes.

As Natsumi is trying to escape while being disguised as Kotori, she is greeted by Tohka and Yoshino, who are later joined by the Yamai sisters and Miku. As Natsumi encourages the others to insult her, Miku states that even she would be angry if she went that far. When Natsumi reminds them that she tried to trap everyone in a mirror, Miku relates that she also created a ruckus when she still had full access to her powers. She tells Natsumi (still disguised as Kotori) that even if she had no intentions of letting something like that wash away, she still would like to get closer to Natsumi.

As Kotori is exhausted from destroying the first satellite, Miku and the others arrive and offer their help. Using her <March>, she plays a song that empowers everyone else as they work to stop the satellite. However, a <Bandersnatch> unit launches an attack towards Miku from behind. With her song stopped, the other Spirits lose their empowerment and the satellite begins falling down again. Luckily, everyone is saved by Natsumi’s intervention. Like everyone else, Miku agrees to be Natsumi’s friend. After Natsumi is successfully sealed, Miku and the others see the resulting scene, with Miku commenting that Shido was so daring to seal Natsumi in public.

Miku extending her arms to hug Tohka.

As Tohka, Kaguya, and Yuzuru return from school, they are surprised to see Miku waiting for them at the Spirit Mansion. Miku rushes out to hug them, but they quickly dodge her, causing her to hug a telephone phone pole instead. She tells Tohka that a hug is a natural thing for everyone to do, but the Yamai Sisters warn Tohka to not be deceived. Afterward, they ask Miku why she is here. Miku tells them that she had come to visit Shido, but no one was in at that time. The others wonder if it has anything to do with the Origami situation. Miku notes that if that were true, Shido might be in danger considering Origami’s usual stalker personality. She says that if Shido went searching for Origami, it might be possible that he was captured by her instead. At that moment, the Spacequake alarm suddenly rings.

As they struggle to decide what to do, Origami appears and tells them that she signaled the alarm to clear the way of civilians. Assuming a new Cr-Unit, she attacks the Spirits with unparalleled relentlessness, with Tohka having to carry Miku away from Origami’s attacks. Miku quickly assumes her limited Astral Dress and tries to restrict Origami’s movements with her <Rondo>. However, Origami’s new Territory reverses the effects and she launches a devastating counterattack in return

As Tohka regains consciousness, she finds Miku covered with wounds and breathing heavily. There are several bruises and cuts on her white skin as her entire body is filled with wounds. She says that she is glad that Tohka is okay before collapsing. Not wanting her friends to die, Tohka somehow regains full access to her powers to defeat Origami. After reconvening with the Yamai sisters, they tell Tohka that she should thank Miku, since the latter Spirit had used her body to shield Tohka when she was unconscious. There, Miku is still sleeping on the ground. Pretending to still be unconscious, she mimics Kaguya and Yuzuru’s voices in order to get Tohka to give her a passionate kiss to wake up the sleeping princess. However, both Kaguya and Yuzuru deny ever saying that, revealing to Tohka that Miku is already awake. As the Yamai sisters get angry at Miku for using their voices, Miku apologizes and turns her flirtatious advances to them instead. However, the momentary peace is broken by Origami, who had returned after being turned into Spirit by Phantom. Tohka tells everyone else to leave because she can’t fight while also protecting them. Despite Miku’s protests, the Yamai Sisters agree and carry Miku away.

After Shido stops the battle between Origami and Tohka, he and Tohka reconvene back with the other Spirits. They all take refuge in the infirmary located on the first floor of Raizen High School. Here, Miku used her <Requiem> song in order to ease everyone else’s pain. Miku tells everyone that it is a pain-killer song, but it’s only good for relaxation since it has no healing effects. As they discuss what happened to Origami, Miku says that, even though she didn’t see it, perhaps Origami encountered <Phantom> as well. Later, Miku is among the Spirits spying on Shido when he tries to reseal Tohka. Miku complains that it isn’t fair if it is always Tohka and wants to join in as well.

Much later, Miku and the others are transferred to a hospital after being discovered by the school nurse. However, they had little time to rest, as Origami had inversed after returning back from the past. Miku and the others were shocked by the new form Origami assumed. As everyone agreed to help Shido reach Origami, Miku once again used her songs to empower everyone as they helped Shido.

Miku hugging Tohka.

In the new timeline, Miku first appears in the Spirit mansion confronting a confused Tohka, who is making a complicated face while thinking about the new transfer student. She asks if Tohka is cranky because Shido isn’t here. Suddenly, she jumps over the sofa like a high jump athlete leaping over a bar. Rushing from behind, she starts clinging on Tohka, who complains it's making her feel ticklish. At that moment, all the Spirits sense the Reiryoku of another Spirit. Feeling that Shido might be in danger, they follow Tohka’s lead and depart for a nearby park.

After Origami lands a devastating blow on <Fraxinus>, Miku and the other Spirits arrive to assist Shido. As Shido asks why they are here, Miku replies that they would naturally come since he is in a pinch. Just like with everyone else, Miku agrees to lend her power so that Shido may save Origami. Using her <Rondo>, she creates an invisible force that starts pushing Origami downward. At that moment, Natsumi uses her <Haniel> to copy Miku’s <March>. Seeing this frustrates Miku, who tells Natsumi that she would have to pay for copyright infringement later because an idol’s intellectual property is very strict. After Shido successfully manages to seal Origami, the former AST member thanks the Spirits for fighting for her sake. Miku comments that an honest Origami is very adorable.

DAL v12 03

Miku clinging to Kotori.

As the other Spirits gather to discuss what is happening with Shido, Reine tells Kotori that Miku isn’t here yet, since she is at a performance at Kansai. Kotori reluctantly decides to start the meeting without Miku. However, at that moment, Miku rushes in and starts hugging Kotori. Miku says that she rushed back with the nearest helicopter after hearing that Shido had collapsed. She then comments that Shido’s skin had become smooth and squishy like Kotori's. Kotori angrily points out that it is her, and tells Miku to take a seat. Finally opening her eyes, Miku comments that it really is Kotori, adding that Kotori seems to really like being pampered.

After being told that they need to reestablish the Path by kissing Shido, Miku remarks that it’s like a fairy tale, with princess Shiori as the sleeping beauty. However, as they make the preparations to kiss Shido, they are shocked to see that he is no longer in his hospital bed. After finally finding Shido on the streets, all the Spirits are surprised by seeing him easily use all of their powers, and even more so by Shido’s new flirtatious personality. As Kaguya and Yuzuru move in to restrain him, Shido uses Natsumi’s powers to transform into Shiori in order to serve as a distraction. After seeing this, Miku states that she is definitely okay with this and moves forward to jump on Shido. However, Shido then uses Natsumi’s powers again to transform everyone into Shiori in order to hide him. Among the countless Shiori, Miku is the one shouting paradise over the confusing situation.

DAL v12 c04

Miku in a ballroom dress

During the plans to win Shido over through a date, Miku takes part in the swimsuit plan. During her specific date with Shido, the remaining Spirits change into formal dresses, since Shido had damaged the pool while protecting Yoshino from the <Bandersnatch> units. She asks if Shido could turn into Shiori again. But Shido refuses, saying that Miku might die from a nosebleed if that happened, and he wouldn’t want to take such an amazing idol from their friends. Hearing this deeply touches Miku, but Kotori reminds her that they are running out of time. After signaling the musicians and backup dancers, Miku begins her performance. Allowing Shido to sit on her lap, she begins to sing a beautiful and passionate English song. Her performance is strong enough to move Shido, earning enough to make his heart race. As Shido laments dropping for such a direct approach, Miku reassures him that it’s fine. As his senior by one year, it should be okay to be bullied every once in a while.

Later, Miku is among the Spirits convincing Kotori not to fire <Dáinsleif>, saying that they can still save Shido since Kotori is not alone. However, at that moment, <Dáinsleif> still fires anyway thanks to interference from <Ratatoskr>’s headquarters. Miku looks badly shaken up after seeing Phantom appear to save Shido, especially since that being is the person who had turned her into a Spirit in the first place.

During the final battle to save Shido, Miku uses her <Rondo> to restrict Shido’s movements, indirectly saving Natsumi who was about to be attacked by Shido after the latter had broken free from Yoshino’s ice restraints. After kissing Shido, Miku remarks that she is lucky to have a direct kiss with Shido and an indirect kiss with Natsumi. While angry at Miku’s comments at first, Natsumi starts blushing after realizing that she also had an indirect kiss with Yoshino. However, Shido eventually manages to break free from <Gabriel>’s restraints, causing Miku to have to flee with Natsumi in hand. After Shido’s condition stabilizes, Miku is among the group that had walked in on the kiss between Tohka and Shido. In response to their kiss, Miku yells that she didn’t see it properly, so she wants them to do it again.

Nia Creation[]

Miku is invited, along with the other sealed Spirits, by Kotori to come up with a plan to win over Nia. After being told that Nia could only love 2D, she tells the others that she has an idol friend who is similar. She says that her friend always claims that she only loves a person called Sieg-sama, but in reality, it is only an act so that she may be closer to her fans. However, Kotori responds that the readings show that Nia is serious about only loving 2D. After hearing Origami’s plan to draw Shido’s life like a manga, Miku and the others agree on the plan. However, Nia hacks into <Ratatoskr>’s communications network to tell that it is useless to try, as she would likely not even read the story. Upon hearing this, Miku comments that Nia is really attached to this Tokiya-san character.

DAL v13 06

Miku staring at Origami's illustration

After Kotori issued a sales challenge to Nia, Miku and the others all took part in drawing Shido in order to see who could be the main artist. Miku’s drawing was nice, but it was only at the level of a middle schooler. Upon further inspection, Shido notes that Miku had drawn him with a skirt and long hair. Shido doesn’t push on the matter, since he feels that he would have to live up to the drawing if he commented on it more. Upon seeing Origami’s inappropriate drawing, Kotori lets out a shriek. However, both Miku and Yuzuru stare intensely at the illustration with starry eyes. In the end, it is decided that Natsumi would be the main artist, with Shido, Kaguya, Yuzuru, and Origami as the supporting assistants.

As the manga was almost completed, Shido notes that Miku and the others had the same tired expression. Miku notes that a lack of sleep is the greatest detriment to one’s beauty. However, they couldn’t do anything while watching Shido and the others work hard. They decided to reveal their secret project on the day of the decisive showdown at Comico. After Natsumi collapses from finishing the drawing, Miku offers to bring Natsumi to her bed. However, Kotori quickly tells Shido to do that instead, adding that he should also lock the door as well.

When Comico finally arrived, Miku could be seen staring intensely at Nia, noting how she was a type that she hadn’t seen before: a slender girl with glasses. Miku and the others reveal their secret weapon as customers begin to arrive on the floor. They had all designed bunny suits for the purpose of promoting their manga. The crowd starts to notice her presence, causing Nia to wonder who could she be to attract such a large crowd. Miku is greatly angered when Nia states that she has never heard Miku's name before. However, Shido manages to calm her down by telling her that Nia has been captured by DEM for a long time, so she isn’t up to date with the latest trends. As their sales start to diminish, Miku unleashes her secret plan. She had used social media to promote their booth, telling her fans that she will be personally handing out a copy for them. When Shido questions her about this, she states that she has to try her best as well, since Shido and the others are all working so hard.

Miku helping sell the doujin

After they tied with Nia in sales, Miku is among the ones overjoyed when Nia said that she would give Shido a second chance. During the celebration, Miku and Origami moved in closer in an attempt to humorously remove Shido's clothes. However, their joy is short-lived, as Nia begins inversing due to Westcott’s actions. Upon Ellen's arrival, Miku and the Yamai sisters assist Tohka in distracting Ellen. However, after Westcott absorbed Nia’s Qlipha Crystal, their group returns to Shido’s side, having sensed that something went wrong. Like everyone else, they were terrified that Westcott gained the ability to use <Beelzebub>. After Nia recovers from her emergency surgery, Shido takes everyone out to see the first sunrise of the New Year. Like everyone else present, Miku expresses her shock when Nia states that every Spirit used to be human.

Mukuro Planet[]

Miku follows the other Spirits in visiting the shrine for the first time in the New Year. Hearing Natsumi's name being used perversely by Nia, Miku suddenly remarks that she wants to join in as well. However, Nia remarks that hiring her, along with Shido and Natsumi, would be too much since her rates as an idol would be too expensive. But, Miku replies that isn't a problem and even offers to donate some money. In response, Kotori reminds her to dial down her eccentricity, as she still has a reputation as an idol to worry about. Soon afterward, Miku ends up tripping, causing the table to fall down and Shido to collapse onto Tohka. Seeing this, Miku complains about how they get all the fun and asks either one of them to switch places with her.

After the initial failure to convince Mukuro, Miku and the others suddenly crash out of their hiding spot, revealing that they have been eavesdropping on the entire conversation. As Tohka apologizes for eavesdropping, Miku remarks that it isn't Tohka's fault, since Shido made everyone worry. Everyone soon agrees to once again lend their power to help Shido. However, the question is raised on how they are going to approach Mukuro when she is in space. Kotori quickly remembers something and decides to take everyone into a secret Ratatoskr base where the new Fraxinus EX is being built. Miku and the others are then marveled by the presence of the Fraxinus EX's AI, MARIA, which can now communicate directly with the crew. Then, MARIA informs everyone that Ratatoskr's founder, Elliot Woodman, would like to have a word with them.

After Woodman explains his reasons for leaving DEM and creating Ratatoskr, he introduces everyone to Karen, who had also left DEM with him. Hearing that Karen is Ellen's younger sister, Miku starts breathing heavily while commenting on the sisterly development. While doing so, she hugs Natsumi tightly, causing the younger Spirit to struggle for freedom. However, the peaceful conversation is interrupted by DEM, who has found their location from <Beelzebub> and begins their attack. As they make their way for the Fraxinus EX, Miku and the others accidentally run into Westcott in the process. Westcott uses <Beelzebub>'s ability, <Ashufiriya>, to transport everyone into a world of fantasy. Despite their attempts to resist, she and the others are all swallowed into the respective books that emerge beneath their feet.

Miku, as The Little Mermaid

In the fantasy world, Miku takes the form of the mermaid princess in The Little Mermaid. Having heard rumors of a mermaid that kept saying Darling repetitively, both Kotori's and Shido's group head to the castle in search of her. Within the castle, the host demands Miku to sing, since she is now their property. Despite her initial refusal to sing for strangers, she quickly complies after being threatened with becoming tomorrow's soup stock. Much to her delight, Miku sees Shido and the others in the crowd. She tells them that she was transported into the ocean after arriving. There, she was approached by a sea witch who offered to turn her human in exchange for her voice. Seeing that her voice is more valuable to her than her life, she refuses the offer and slaps the witch with her tail before leaving. However, she is soon captured by fishermen while searching for the others and brought to the castle.

As Shido demands the host to free Miku, the host replies that Miku was bought, and therefore is now the king's property. As the king arrives, everyone is shocked that it is Origami, and more so that she is naked. Among the group, Miku is the only one quelling in delight over the sight. After everyone is reunited, Kotori asks Origami and Miku if they have encountered any characters or items that would allow them to escape. Miku replies sadly that she didn't meet anyone other than the fishermen and the witch.

However, at that moment, the castle is suddenly invaded by the villains from each of their respective stories. For Miku, the sea witch reappears before her and asks her what a mermaid's tongue would sound like, causing Miku to gasp her mouth shut. Since they couldn't use their Angels in the fantasy world, Miku and the others are helpless against the ensuing onslaught. Luckily, they are saved by the appearance of a second Shido, who Nia and Natsumi note must be based on the manga that everyone wrote to impress Nia. After the other Shido manages to defeat all of the villains, he opens a gateway with his <Sandalphon>. After returning to their world, Nia and the others board the new Fraxinus EX and fly off into space in order to begin the mission to save Mukuro. Before Shido is about to confront Mukuro, Miku offers to support him with <Gabriel>'s songs. However, they are forced to leave Mukuro to Shido, as their attention is diverted by the four DEM warships approaching them.

Mukuro Family[]

Miku and the other Spirits, with the exception of Origami, Tohka, and Natsumi, decide to stay on the Fraxinus EX in order to help Kotori against Ellen. At first, they offered to leave and take care of the other warships that DEM sent along with <Goetia>. However, Kotori asks them to stay on stand-by, as the Spirits would be their secret trump card against Ellen. Using the newly installed System Blót within Fraxinus EX, Miku combines her powers with Kotori, Yoshino, Kaguya, and Yuzuru to unleash a devastating eruption of energy from the magic cannon that devastates <Goetia>, forcing Ellen to retreat back to Earth. After their victory, Miku declares her joy in a perverse manner over all of their powers mixing together.

Miku offers to lead Shido to a spa so he can relax, perversely spouting innuendos and thus worrying Shido. Origami enters the bathhouse after Shido, and Miku returns shortly after. She exclaims that she is there to clean Shido and jumps into the water with him and Origami. She flaunts her body, before noticing Origami and happily gushing over the turn of events. She is also tailed by the rest of the Spirits, and it is revealed that they’re all there to clean him. Miku purrs into his ear, explaining that she’ll clean him completely, and Shido is descended upon by Miku and the rest of the Spirits.

Miku is called on the phone by Shido after having her memories of him sealed by Mukuro. She immediately squeals in terror and cuts him off, opting to completely ignore him. Later in the day, the Spirits all reunite at the Itsuka residence, with Miku immediately pouncing on Natsumi and hiding her face in Natsumi’s stomach, much to Natsumi’s fear. Upon the discussion shifting to the topic of Shido, who had been forgotten by all of them, Miku pitches in and states that she received a phone call from a strange man who is recorded under her caller ID as Darling. Later, Miku is part of the group searching for Tohka after she entered her Inverse Form, which subsequently leads them to Shido's location. Their arrival triggers Mukuro into using <Michael> to seal the earth's rotation out of a misguided fear that they came to steal Shido from her. Despite their memories being gone, Miku and the other sealed Spirits still decide to help Shido, scattering to specific coordinates in order to use their Reiryoku to delay <Michael>'s effect of stopping the Earth's rotation.

Once Mukuro has been sealed, Miku regains her memories and fusses over Mukuro during her joining the rest of the sealed Spirits. Subsequently, her flirtatious behavior results in Mukuro becoming wary of Miku.

Kurumi Refrain[]

Miku joins the other sealed Spirits with Shido in their discussion about Kurumi's recent challenge.

Later one night, Miku teams up with Origami and Nia to sneak into Shido's bed, wearing mature and revealing undergarments in an attempt to train him against Kurumi’s seduction tactics. While flustered by their plan at first, Shido quickly regains his composure and forces them out of his room. As punishment, Natsumi de-ages the three of them while turning herself and the other sealed Spirits into adult women for Shido's real training session the following day.

Tohka Good End First Half[]

Miku attends the emergency meeting of the former Spirits at Fraxinus after the Spacequake alarm sounded for the first time in a year. She asks whether the Spirit that triggered the Spacequake is born from Mio.

Tohka Good End Second Half[]

A flashback reveals that Miku interacted with Shido around half a year after the disappearance of the Spirit of Origin. She sought Shido's help in persuading her agent not to move her overseas to progress her career, because she wants to spend time with Shido and the other former Spirits.

During the confrontation with Beast, Miku and the other former Spirits were able to descend safely from Fraxinus using headsets connected to <Yggd Folium> Realizer units. Kurumi, Yoshino, and Miku are assigned the duty to protect Shido from Beast's attacks by generating Territory from their headsets. After Natsumi successfully lands an <Yggd Ramus> through Beast's back, Beast's swords disappear. One of them reappears in front of Miku, who grabs it; the sword transforms into Miku's Astral Dress and her Angel <Gabriel>, allowing her to reclaim her Spirit powers. With Beast unfazed by the Angels' direct attacks, Kotori commands a strategy that would involve <Zadkiel> and <Gabriel> immobilizing Beast first, before <Camael> and <Metatron> combine (with the help of <Michael> and <Haniel>) for a direct hit.

After Beast is subdued with the help of Yamai Kazamachi, Miku attempts to hug Yamai, only for Yamai to de-fuse into Kaguya and Yuzuru, causing Miku to miss both of them and fall on her face. When Shido retrieves the <Nahemah> that Beast had left behind when she fled, he voices his intention to go after her. While the Spirits worry for him, Miku realizes what this means, and after submitting a private request to MARIA through her headset, she begins to sing, using <Gabriel>'s <Fantasia> to amplify her voice. This relieves the pain of everyone who hears the song, including through the speakers at the nearby evacuation shelters connected to Fraxinus. At the end of the song, Miku voices her encouragement towards Shido, confident that he will complete his errand and return safely.

By the end of the month, Miku had already made up her mind to move to the United States to further her career. She uses Ratatoskr's private boat to return to Japan and visit the Itsuka home on April 10, the day that Kotori, Yoshino, Natsumi, Mukuro and Mana begin their first year at Raizen High School. Miku had wanted to see them in their new uniforms.
